It is America’s new Apple craze. It is not a new computer that they came out with, and it is not a new iPhone or iPod. It is called an iPad. Apple’s newest gadget is a tablet PC, which is like a computer, iPhone, and iPod all mixed in one medium sized tablet PC. Many people are wondering about the iPad competitors. If they are cheaper, or maybe a little bit better than it as well. In this article I gave you four of it’s competitors, Just, so you can see what other tablet PCs are out there too.
iPad Competitors
One of our first iPad competitors is the Acer Iconia Tab A500, which will cost you $499.99. I know that these tablet computers can be very expensive, but this model in particular is not. It also uses a Zippy Tegraz 2 processor, which is supposed to make it really fast. The down side of this tablet is that it is very large and heavy in size and offers no 3G or4G options. So if you like to be walking around town with this big bulky thing, you might as well by a laptop, and it will probably be cheaper for you.
Second on our list for iPad competitors is the Asus Eee Pad Transformer TF101. It will cost you $399.99. The good thing about this tab is that it is more affordable and it has strong multitasking, so you will be able to do several things at once and your tab won’t freeze on you. There is a bad side to this tab as well. The keyboard for the tab is very touchy and does not want to work half the time. Honestly I would wait until they got all the bugs out of their machine until you buy it.
Our third of our iPad competitors is the Barnes & Noble Nook Cover, which will run you $249.99. There is really not much to say about this one because it is very cheap. I believe that this tab is more for people that are on a budget. The good thing about it is that it does have a 7-inch screen. There are bad things to it as well. This tab offers no 3G capabilities and also has very short battery life. I think this one is like the last two and wait until they get all the bug and kinks out first.
iPad Competitors – The Conclusion
Now on to the last of our iPad Competitors is the Cherrypal CherryPad. This tab is the least expensive out of all the other tabs that i have talked about. This bad boy will run you $188. It is small and light, and runs on the Android programing system. The bad thing is that some of the features are not yet enable because it is so new. Also the touch screen on this bad boy is very resistive and hard to use. So I hope that I helped you out on finding out the other competitors of the iPad.
